I. U.S.-Mexico Border
Dr. Sarabia collected data from 2009-2010 in the border city of Mexicali, where she conducted 60 in-depth interviews with border residents with different legal statuses vis-a-vis the U.S. Dr. Sarabia also interviewed activists and governmental officials in the border city of Mexicali working on the issue of Mexican migration to the U.S.
II. South Philadelphia Neighborhood
Dr. Sarabia conducted 70 in-depth interviews in South Philadelphia with Mexican immigrant women from 2015 to 2016 in order to understand the experiences of recent immigrants in a re-emerging gateway of migration.
III. UC PromISE
Dr. Sarabia is a faculty collaborator in this research team (PI: Dr. Laura Enriquez) that collected data across various UC and CSU campuses in order to assess the institutional context for undocumented Latina/o/x college students’ Academic success and well-being. IV. The Stockton Scholars Program Assessment Project
